Milly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design, BA (ID), in National University of Singapore. Rather than seeing design as a purely aesthetic solution, she sees design as a bridge between the science and the art.
During her 4 years in NUS, Milly has led and executed numerous projects with local industry collaborators such as National University Hospital, HP Global Experience Design Group and Ang Mo Kio Family Service Center(AMKFSC). Her group’s project, in collaboration with AMKFSC, to design for children from vulnerable families is featured in Service Design Lab’s website.
By being exposed to multidisciplinary projects, Milly has learned to employ design to cater to specific needs. She had also gone through multiple medical product design projects and has then developed a keen interest in the healthcare and medical field. She believes that the use of design tools and a sense of empathy are the key factors to attain human-centred service innovation. These are also the skill sets that she will be bringing into Crely.
Other than her passion for design, Milly had been extensively involved in sports related activities throughout her whole school life.
